Where It All Began:
Through my coaching business I help others to build their brand by tapping into their authenticity and what drives them. Art can cut through any boundaries and help start conversations. This is why I wanted to create wearable art to empower and bring a voice to all minorities. I was talking with a good friend and it sparked the idea of appreciating the many facets of female. I wanted to create something that would speak to ALL the “bold & feminine” humans out there. The stiletto boot with complex geometric design seems to represent just that. One artist popped up in my head when I envisioned this, and of course, that was “ESTKO”. Erin is the master of taking geometric lines and shapes and turning them into something that moves and takes on another meaning. – Rhonda Evans, RiMU Coaching
About The Artist:
Erin Joy Svitko (ESTKO) is an abstract aerosol artist that moved to Charlotte in 2014 from Philadelphia. She’s been creating geometric-abstractions for 8 years, while experimenting on different canvases like walls, wood, up-cycled mediums and functional art. ESTKO also prints digital patterns from magnifying left over spray paint drippings that resemble Rorschach tests. She has focused on drawing and painting patterns that show the juxtaposition between geometric versus flowing lines found in nature, or even more so, crystalized patterns versus muscle-like structures. She also uses abstract line art to celebrate women’s bodies and bring light to struggles that are uncomfortable yet need more awareness brought to.
